The CORE Multi-function Wood Gas Backpacking Stove

Being that we love stoves at The Gear Whores we always keep our eyes our for new or interesting camping and backpack stoves on the market. A while ago we ran into the CORE folding woodgas stove on Kickstarter. Touting a multi-piece, fold flat, double wall gasifier design we were easily intrigued. Like many we backed this innovative designed, and were happy to see it successfully funded. Unfortunately, before the end of the backing period it seemed the designer canceled the project. As far as we’ve seen no real explanation was given to the sudden cancellation. All of that aside, it would appear that the CORE Multi-Function Woodgas Backpacking Stove is back again, now in redux mode. As with the previous project, it has reached it’s funding goal, and we are happy to be backers yet again. Hopefully this time around we can actually get our hands on this innovative design and put it through it’s paces. Stay tuned for more.
