Solo Stove Campfire

Some people get all a tizzy about the latest iFruit device coming out of Cupertino, not us. We get all hot a bothered when our favorite woodgas stove makers Solo Stove announce a new stove. The latest creation from these stove masters is the Solo Stove Campfire. The Solo Stove Campfire is a yet even bigger addition to the current original Solo Stove and Solo Stove Titan family. This big ole bad ass woodgasifier is large enough to support full sized skillets and multi-quart, possible multi-gallon pots. The Solo Stove Campfire kit comes with two pots, one 3 liter and one 1.5 liter, which act as a nesting container for the Solo Stove Campfire. Currently the project is now on Kickstarter, and we anticipate it to easy reach it’s funding goal. As soon as we have one of these bad boys in hand a full review and video will be posted, so stay tuned.

    GH,

Love the review of the Solo Stove gear. I agree that the 3 pot set would make a good cookset for a patrol (in my case a patrol of boy scouts). I’ve found Solo Stove’s gear to be addictive and now have the Campfire ordered and on the way which makes me an owner of all three sizes. I figure you have more than one pair of shoes shouldn’t you have more than one size of Solo Stove, right?

I’ve cooked with the Solo Original and Titan and find them to be super efficient and easy to use. They’ll burn pretty much anything that burns (sticks, briquettes, pellets, alcohol) which makes fuel easy to find. Next I want to try the grill mod.

I’m a Scoutmaster and intend to recommend investing in a couple of Solo Stoves and pots to our troop as we move to more lightweight gear. First, a little more testing 🙂

    Thanks for the great information….

Glad you enjoy the site and the great gear from Solo Stove. As you can tell we are kind of “fan boys”. Also good to hear that you’re bringing your passion into Scouting. There are a few Eagle Scouts amongst The Gear Whores crew.
