Every good outdoor and EDC kit needs certain things to make it viable, and one of those things is fire. Of the many methods to start fire, one of the most common to carry is the good old fashioned disposable lighter. These lighters are cheap and easy to find anywhere and disperse throughout your multiple kits. The problem comes when you want this simple staple to do more than it already does. That’s where the new Exotac fireSLEEVE steps in. This Kickstarter from the already well established folks at Exotac looks to enhance our everyday lighter. The fireSLEEVE is fitted case that appears to be rugged and waterproof. The protective cap helps to prevent the unwanted gas discharge when the lighter is stowed, and also has an integrated strap to hold the gas button down to help keep your fingers away from the flame when starting stoves and fires. We are certainly looking forward to getting a hold of the Exotac fireSLEEVE and putting it through it’s paces. I mean come on, who does like to play with fire outdoors.
